Basics to get a concealed weapon permit in California

In California, only those persons would get concealed weapons permits that pass the basic requirement set by the County Serifs office and or a local police station.

To get a concealed weapon permit in California applicants must have a good moral character and a good cause. The different local law actuation agencies use their discretion for issues to varying degrees. A California CCWL may also include any reasonable restrictions or conditions that the issuing authority deems warranted, including restrictions on when, where, and how a person will carry their firearm.

The California CCWL allows you to carry a concealed pistol, revolver, or other firearms. You must be 21 years old and complete the required firearms training course to apply for one. It is available only to residents, individuals who work in the state, and active-duty military members stationed in California.

The license lasts two years on average- any resident of this state who has not previously reported ownership of a firearm or anyone moving into CA with a firearm is considered a “personal gun importer” and thus reports their possession of a said weapon at DOJ by providing necessary information about it – either selling it through dealers licensed by that agency or handing over the weapon (or its precise replicas) directly to sheriffs/police departments when applicable.
